TWICE‘dan Tzuyu, eski CLC üyesi Elkie ve (G)I-DLE‘dan Shuhua arasındaki yakın arkadaşlık, son paylaşılan bir video nedeniyle tartışma konusu oldu. 7 Kasım’da Elkie‘nin 26. doğum günü kutlamasında çekilen videoda üç idol’ün dudaktan öpüşme anı, sosyal medyada “queerbaiting” tartışmalarını başlattı. (queerbaiting: lgbt+ içeriklerine merak duyan insanlara pazarlanan materyaller.)

Benzer bir durum yakın zamanda TWICE‘dan Nayeon ve Sana‘nın sahnede öpüşmesiyle de yaşanmıştı. Bazı hayranlar bu durumu normal arkadaşlık davranışı olarak görürken, bazıları ise LGBTQ+ topluluğuna yönelik yapay bir yakınlaşma olduğunu iddia etti.
